Individual support
Our dietitians work with you to improve your overall health through learning how to eat better, set goals and manage your health.
Our dietitians understand that there is no one-size-fits all approach to improving health and work with you to improve your overall health, through learning how to eat better and manage health conditions.
Our dietitians can support you with:
- nutrition for everyday eating
- managing chronic health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and high cholesterol
- low appetite, unexplained weight loss and loss of strength
- gut concerns such as irritable bowel syndrome and constipation
- diagnosed food allergies
- vitamin and mineral deficiencies such as low iron
- eating well to support your mood
- meal planning and eating well on a budget
- vegetarian and vegan eating
- nutrition during pregnancy and breastfeeding
Support for children and families
Our dietitians offer friendly, non-judgemental help for children and families who want support with food, eating, and staying healthy. Any child under 18 can use this service however, we do not see children with eating disorders.
Our dietitians can support your family with:
- everyday eating for infants and children including how much and what types of food to offer
- introducing solids
- fussy and selective eating
- growth concerns
- diagnosed food allergies and intolerances
- constipation
- advice for vegetarian and vegan eating.
Group education
Healthy Eating and Lifestyle Program (HELP)
Our Healthy Eating and Lifestyles Program helps you learn healthy habits that last for life. It can help you manage your weight and lower your risk of diabetes and heart disease.
The program is run by an Accredited- Practising Dietitian and an Accredited Exercise Physiologist at the Coburg Leisure Centre. You will meet one to one with a team member before and after the 8-week program with sessions running for 2 hours per week. In those two hours you will do one hour of exercise and one hour of healthy eating learning.
Lunch and Learn
Our Lunch and Learn program provides education on a range of nutrition issues and you are asked to apply these in a practical way.
The program is run by an accredited practising dietitian at Bell Street in Coburg. It runs one day a week for 6 weeks at lunch time. You will be asked to bring your own lunch each week based on the learnings from the previous session.
Infant
A group session lead by a dietitian to support families with introducing solids, healthy eating and active play, suitable for families with babies around 4-6 months of age. Available at West Heidelberg site. See flyer for further details.

Individual support is available to all ages.
Our Healthy Eating and Lifestyle Program is for anyone over 18 years and Lunch and Learn Program is for adults over 65 years old (or over 50 years old if Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander)
If you are under 65 years of age, you do not need a referral to access this service.

The Healthy Eating and Lifestyle program costs $8.20 per session
Your first appointment may take about 60 to 90 minutes. The dietician will ask about your medical history, health goals and food and lifestyle habits. It’s a good idea to bring with your recent blood test results, list of medications and relevant medical records.
