Get expert support to move, feel and function better
Exercise Physiologists are trained to understand how the body works during exercise. They create and manage exercise plans to assist people with health problems, injuries, or physical difficulties to feel better and move more easily.
You don’t need to be “fit” to benefit from exercise physiology. Exercise Physiologists work with people of all ages and abilities. The tailored programs designed by Exercise Physiologists help you to reach your goals by building your strength, managing symptoms, staying healthy, and supporting you to participate in daily activities independently.
Exercise physiologists can assist in managing conditions such as:
- chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis and neurological conditions
- recovery from injury, illness or surgery
- reaching a healthy weight
- mental health, mood and sleep
- improved strength and mobility
- chronic pain management
- staying active as you get older
- exercising safely during and after pregnancy
- building your confidence with exercise in a gym, home or community setting.
