Exercise for women in a comfortable, expert-led group
We run exercise programs from our Glenroy and Fawkner sites. Each is designed to help women regain strength, stability and confidence in their bodies in a friendly supportive environment. The classes use low-impact exercises, done on the floor and in standing, with the aim to build muscular strength and endurance, and to facilitate spinal mobility and flexibility in a comfortable environment. Both groups are run by physiotherapists.
- Our Glenroy Women’s Exercise group is and is suitable for women with spine related pain, and those new or returning to regular exercise.
- Our Fawkner Women’s Exercise group is more suitable for women in the post-natal period, those with spine related pain, and those new or returning to regular exercise.
To gain the maximum benefit from these group classes, you will be expected to attend all sessions.
The physiotherapist running the group can discuss with you what your further exercise options are once the program ends.
Our 8-week women’s exercise program can help to:
- help restore some of your pelvic floor and abdominal muscle strength
- give you time and space to focus on your physical wellbeing
- connect with others in a supportive group environment
- build a good foundation for future fitness and strength.
