Tai Chi for health

A gentle way to improve balance, mobility, and wellbeing.
Tai Chi for health

Movement that’s good for your body and mind

Tai Chi is a flowing form of Chinese exercise known for its health benefits. Our Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention program is a low-impact way to move your body, calm your mind, and improve your wellbeing.

We teach a modified style called Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention that’s specifically for people with chronic health conditions, mobility issues or mental health challenges. Sessions are led by accredited health professionals and suitable for people who use walking aids and wheelchairs.

This accessible and evidence-based program focuses on your safety and does not involve any high-risk movements. You can do it sitting or standing.

Regular Tai Chi practice can help to:

  • improve your balance and reduce your risk of falls
  • ease pain and stiffness in joints and muscles
  • boost your mood, promote relaxation and improve sleep
  • build your strength, coordination and flexibility.
