Safe, enjoyable exercise for people with memory changes
Help Yourself is our 8-week exercise program designed for people living with dementia or memory changes.
The classes help you to stay active, build strength, and move safely—with guidance from qualified health professionals and assistance as needed. Sessions include a mix of aerobic activity, strength training, balance work, and interactive virtual activities. They are delivered in a clear, structured way that is easy to follow.
Our focus is on helping you stay active and enjoy the social benefits of exercising with others.
You don’t need to have any experience with exercise. Classes are designed to suit each participant and delivered at a comfortable pace.
Our Help Yourself program can help you to:
- exercise safely and feel steadier on your feet to reduce your falls risk
- improve your stamina and fitness
- improve or maintain your independence
- stay mentally and physically engaged
- get personal support within a small group
- connect with others who share similar experiences.
