Helping children to get up and moving
We offer clinics for children who have concerns with their feet, legs or walking patterns. Your child will be assessed by a team of professionals, including a physiotherapist and podiatrist, to help ensure they get the right support.
Our team will look at your child’s feet and legs and their ability to crawl, walk or run. Then we’ll recommend a treatment plan that may include sessions with a health professional.
We can help children with:
- flat feet, in-toeing or knock knees
- frequent falls or tripping while walking or running
- complaints of sore legs, growing pains, or pain in the feet or legs at night
- delays in reaching developmental milestones such as crawling or walking
- unusual walking or running patterns or less endurance than their peers
- fitting of orthotics when appropriate (an additional cost will apply).
Children must attend appointments with a parent or legal guardian. Please bring your child’s ‘Green Book’ if you have it, a list of their current medications, their regular footwear, and any relevant medical imaging.
New appointments usually take 60 minutes but may be longer or shorter depending on your needs.
