Because every child deserves to be safe – always
At Holstep Health, we believe every child has the right to feel safe and be safe at all times. We take our responsibility for protecting children very seriously and promote a culture of safety across our organisation – and in the communities we serve.
We acknowledge that abuse and neglect can and do occur, and we’re dedicated to building a community where children are valued and supported to thrive. That’s why we have a range of strategies to ensure children are protected, listened to, and surrounded by trusted adults.
Our commitment to child safety involves:
- creating safe spaces, relationships and experiences for all children and families
- preventing harm through robust child safety policies and practices
- respecting the unique identities and experiences of children from all backgrounds
- working closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to support cultural safety and voice
- providing training and guidance for staff to recognise, prevent and respond to risk.
