Leisure and wellbeing support for people aged 65 and over
Our leisure therapy (or diversional therapy) program supports your wellbeing by helping you if you’re feeling isolated, lonely, or looking to reconnect with your interests and community.
This service focuses on five key areas of wellbeing: social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual. We’ll work with you to understand what matters most to you and tailor support to help. Our focus is on making sure you get more involved with social and leisure activities.
You’ll receive:
- a personalised assessment to work out your social and leisure goals
- support to identify your strengths and increase your participation at home and in the community
- one-on-one sessions in your home or community (usually 4 to 6 visits)
- support to reduce isolation and improve your confidence and quality of life
- links to local community groups, interest-based activities or volunteering opportunities.
