Carer coaching to support your goals
When you’re caring for someone else, it can be easy to overlook your own needs. As you focus on the person you care for, you may even start to lose touch with your sense of self. Coaching is about taking time out to think about how you’re going, how you’d like things to be, and the steps you could take towards making that happen.
Through Carer Gateway, you can access free coaching that is specially designed for people who regularly support a family member, friend or loved one — even if you don’t think of yourself as a carer.
Access coaching in a way that works for you
- One-to-one sessions with a coach You can meet with a trained carer coach to explore areas of your life where you’d like things to change. A coach can support you while you take steps towards reaching your goals. You can access up to six free, one-hour facilitated coaching sessions in person, online or over the phone.
- Self-guided coaching online If you’d prefer, you can get self-guided coaching sessions online via the Carer Gateway website. You can access these anywhere, anytime through your home computer, mobile or tablet. You can go through them at your own pace, in a way that works for you.
