Teaching children how to keep their teeth healthy and strong for life
Building good oral health habits early has benefits that last a lifetime. The Smiles 4 Miles program works with kindergartens, childcare centres, and families to help children have strong, healthy teeth and create positive habits from a young age.
Our Smiles 4 Miles coordinator teams up with early childhood educators to offer fun and engaging oral health education. The program is based on three simple messages—Drink Well, Eat Well, Clean Well. This helps children learn how to care for their teeth in a way that’s easy to understand and practice.
Your child will learn about healthy food and drink choices, how and when to brush their teeth, and why it’s important to see the dentist.
Smiles 4 Miles can help your child and family to:
- create good daily oral health habits
- dental screenings for your young children
- make tooth-friendly food and drink choices
- learn how to brush teeth properly
- understand why it’s important to see the dentist
- connect with local dental clinics.
