Supporting children to build good oral health habits
Little Smiles supports you and your child to build strong, healthy teeth and lifelong oral health habits. The program is for children and families from disadvantaged communities in Merri-bek. If your child attends a playgroup in this area, you may have the chance to take part. Our team visits these groups to offer dental screenings and education. The sessions are relaxed, welcoming and friendly.
You’ll learn how to care for your child’s teeth, with tips on brushing and choosing healthy foods and drinks. We’ll also explain when and how to access dental care and connect you with your local public dental service.
By starting early, you can help your child avoid future dental problems and learn how to look after their teeth.

Any child who attends an identified playgroup in the Merri-bek City Council.
We prioritise playgroups with children and families who have newly arrived in Australia or who have a non-English speaking background.
Your child will be able to take part if Little Smiles visits their playgroup.
