Work with Holstep Health to empower primary school leaders!

Work with Holstep Health to empower primary school leaders!

Primary schools in Merri-bek are invited to submit an Expression of Interest to participate in our Healthy Schools Initiative in 2026. We will work in partnership with your school to support and empower students to be leaders in gender equality and respect, as part of a primary prevention approach to gender-based violence.

What does your school have to do?

  • Select year level of students: Grade 5, Grade 6 or composite
  • Submit an EOI by Friday 31 October 2025 via surveymonkey.com/r/9WFNQXT
  • Participate in a planning meeting in Term 4, 2025 and Term 1, 2026.
  • Nominate a staff champion to lead and supervise sessions

What will your school receive?

  • 6-9 co-facilitated educational sessions with Holstep Health for one cohort in Term1/ Term 2, 2026
  • $1,000 funding and support for a student led project to promote gender equality (Term 3 and 4).
  • Work with Holstep Health to achieve actions identified in Respectful Relationships Action Plan & Annual Implementation Plan (AIP)
  • Information session for all school staff about the Initiative
  • Information available for parents

Holstep Health supports safe and in inclusive settings for schools in Merri-bek through a whole-school approach. This work will align with the Respectful Relationships curriculum, particularly Topics 7 + 8.
