Wear It Purple Day 2026 is an opportunity to show our support for LGBTQIA+SB young people and our commitment to creating safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces where everyone feels respected, valued and able to be themselves.
As a proud Rainbow Tick accredited organisation, we’re committed to providing inclusive workplaces and services for LGBTQIA+SB young people and our communities.
While progress has been made, many LGBTIQA+ young people continue to experience bullying, harassment, discrimination and exclusion. According to Minus18’s 2025 Queer Youth Now report, 89% of LGBTQIA+ young people have experienced bullying, harassment or violence in their lifetime.
This year’s Wear It Purple Day 2026 theme, Colours of Courage, recognises the many ways LGBTQIA+SB young people, allies and communities show courage. That might mean speaking up, creating change, living authentically, asking for support or standing alongside someone who needs an ally.
This week, our team wore purple to recognise the theme and celebrate the courage, strength and resilience within LGBTIQA+SB communities.
