How you can partner with us to serve our community

Volunteer Clerkship Program

At West Heidelberg Community Legal (WHCL), we offer a Volunteer Law Clerkship Program to law students in their second last year of study or later. Volunteer law clerks (VLCs) help us operate our busy practice and work alongside our lawyers to deliver legal services to the community.

VLCs are involved in client intake, referral, administration, research and client work across various areas of law.

We ask potential VLCs to commit to volunteering one day per week from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm for at least 12 months.

If you’re interested in joining our team, please email your resume, a cover letter and an indication of your availability to [email protected]. If we don’t have any current vacancies we will keep your details on file.
