Holstep Health supports Treaty and the Uluru Statement from the Heart

Holstep Health is proud to formally support Treaty and the Uluru Statement from the Heart. This commitment reflects our dedication to listening to and standing with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, ensuring their voices, cultures and experiences are respected and valued in everything we do.

We acknowledge the health inequalities that exist between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non-Indigenous people. We are committed to close the health gap through initiatives that promote respect, equity and recognition.

Our support comes as the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria and Victorian Government signed Australia’s first-ever Treaty. This includes Gellung Warl, led by the First Peoples’ Assembly, to help shape decisions that matter to communities.

What this means for you and our community

Holstep Health is committed to making our services more respectful, and responsive to community needs. This means:

  • Stronger partnerships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and Traditional Owners
  • Regular updates on our progress, so the community can see real actions and results
  • A shared commitment to closing the health gap and building a fairer, stronger community for everyone

We were delighted to join Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders and leaders at our annual dinner to connect and celebrate culture and communities last night.
