$10 million pledged to provide inclusive, culturally safe healthcare for LGBTIQA+ people! We hosted MPs as the announcement was made yesterday.
This funding highlights the importance of creating better health outcomes for LGBTIQA+ communities and reducing stigma and discrimination. We know that significant health disparities exist between LGBTIQA+ Australians and other people. One in three LGBTIQA+ people rate their health as poor or fair and three in four have experienced a mental health condition.
