NAIDOC Week 2026 is coming up on 5 – 12 July.
It’s an opportunity for all Australians to celebrate the rich history, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and to learn more about the world’s oldest continuing cultures.
This year’s theme, “50 Years of Deadly,” celebrates five decades of First Nations strength, culture and leadership, while honouring the past, celebrating the present, and looking boldly to the future.
There are many ways to get involved and show your support. See four easy ways below!
- Attend a local NAIDOC Week event – see what’s near you!
- Support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses – catering, gifts and much more!
- Be a brave ally – learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and experiences
- Deliver an Acknowledgement of Country – a meaningful way to recognise Traditional Owners and show respect for their ongoing connection to Country. Learn how!
As we celebrate 50 years of NAIDOC, we acknowledge the generations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who have led change, shared culture, strengthened communities and continued to advocate for a better future.
Respect and equality are vital for health and wellbeing. That is why we support initiatives that promote respect, recognition, equality and inclusion; and listen deeply to the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people advocating for change.
This NAIDOC Week 2026, we encourage everyone to take the opportunity to listen, learn, celebrate and reflect.
