Do you have ideas, experiences or insights that could help improve local services? We’re looking for consumers, carers and community members to join our Consumer and Community Engagement Committee (CCEC).
This is an opportunity to ensure community voices are heard where decisions are made. By joining the Committee, you can help influence how services are planned, improved and delivered, while building valuable knowledge, skills and professional connections.
As a committee member, you will:
- Share your lived experience and community perspectives
- Help influence decisions that affect local health and wellbeing services
- Contribute to service improvements and community engagement initiatives
- Learn how health and community services are planned, governed and evaluated
- Develop skills in community engagement, advocacy, governance and strategic thinking
- Gain insight into public health, community services and not-for-profit leadership
- Build professional networks with community members, health professionals and organisational leaders
- Strengthen your experience for future employment, study, volunteer or leadership opportunities
- Help ensure services better reflect the needs of our diverse communities
Key information
- Up to two community representative positions available
- Meetings are held four times a year
- Meetings run for approximately three hours
- Membership term of up to three years
- These are voluntary (unpaid) positions
- Community representatives will be appointed through an Expression of Interest and interview process
