Over 80 women and allies came together today at a special workshop in West Heidelberg to connect, reflect, and try something new.
Holstep Health continues to celebrate and champion the achievements of all women, gender-diverse people, and allies. on International Women’s Day (IWD) and every day, we are committed to promoting gender equity, challenging inequality, calling out bias, and helping build a more inclusive world.
Led by Dr Donna Lyon, CEO of Left Write Hook and Producer Academic at the University of Melbourne, participants explored storytelling through a gentle writing exercise, tried a boxing taster, and watched part of the award-winning documentary Left Write Hook, which supports women recovering from trauma and violence.
This year’s IWD theme, Give to Gain, reminded everyone to share, do, and give more. The workshop created a welcoming space to support one another and showed how creativity, movement, and connection can strengthen wellbeing and local communities.
